My kung fu is... er, passable

I passed my yellow sash test friday night! Kwanjangnim was pretty tough on all of us; he felt the other white sash and I were too slow during the do form and also lacked the appropriate poses. He didn't say anything about my yook hop gun form, but I was very disappointed; it was the sloppiest I'd performed it since learning the last sequence of moves two weeks ago. I'm going to have to continue to work on both forms as I learn the open hand and weapon forms for yellow.

But, I do get to buy one of these. Let's hope I make it through the first week without cracking my skull.

What weapons do you get to work with?

At this level, just the staff (bong) and the broadsword (dao). There are 36 kung fu weapons in all, but most of them you don't use until black sash level. Sometime within the next 12 months I'll probably start using the double daos (a form done with a broadsword in each hand), straight sword (jian), kwandao, and nunchacks, possible some other ones, depending upon how quickly I move forward.
